Science & Turkish Specialist - Mustafa Başer

 

Mr. Mustafa was born in Afyon, a small city in Turkey.

He graduated from the Elementary Education Department of Hacettepe University in Ankara.

He has been teaching Science and Turkish at R.I.S. for two years.

He likes watching movies and playing soccer.

He thinks that everybody can be a scientist if they believe.

Science & Guidance Specialist - Sinan Polat

 

Mr.Polat is from Turkey.

He holds a teaching degree in science education from Middle East Technical University.

For the last four years he worked as a science teacher in Mombasa, a coastal city in Kenya.

He has a keen interest in Technology and enjoys reading in his spare time.

Art & Design Specialist - Kim Soo Hyun

 

Ms. Kim was born in Korea and lived in Istanbul, Turkey for five years.


She received a Bachelor of American Culture and Literature degree from Istanbul Fatih University.

 

Also, she studied and received certification in Art Psychology for Children in Korea. Her hobbies include traveling and watching movies.

 

This is her first year teaching at RIS.

Music Specialist - Kim Hee Yong

Music Specialist - Kim Hee Yong  

Mrs. Kim grew up in a music-loving family, and naturally came to decide to major in Music.

She graduated from the Department of Music at Korea National High School of Traditional Arts with the highest honor, specialized in practical techniques in the College of Music at Chung-Ang University.

And studied Musicology in the Graduate School at Korea National University of Arts.

She also teaches music theories at Korea National High School of Traditional Arts and performs in a chamber orchestra.

Korean Specialist - Lee Shin Jung

 

Ms. Lee was born and grew up in Busan, the second largest city in Korea.

She studied Korean Education in the College of Education, then Korean as a Foreign Language in the Graduate School of Education at Korea University. She has taught Korean Grammar and Literature to Korean students at many Korean public middle schools since 2000. She also has taught Korean to foreign students since 2004. Ms. Lee taught summer camp at the Korea Language Culture Center at Korea University in 2005 and 2006, as well as Korean for Foreign Learners at Yeoksam Global Village Center since 2008.

She is delighted to be teaching all the students at Rainbow International School.

Library & ESL - Deanna Howard

  Ms. Howard is from Saskatchewan, Canada.

 
An avid reader from an early age, she obtained her B.A. and M.A. in English literature from the University of Saskatchewan. After completing her TESOL certificate, Ms. Howard taught in China, Australia, Taiwan, Canada, and Korea, where she has lived since October 2006. She is delighted to be part of the Rainbow team!

 
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and exploring Seoul.
