Outstanding faculty, small class size and a rigorous curriculum prepare RIS students for success in any quality high school and beyond. RIS offers Elementary through Middle School students a modern education with high academic standards that foster an appreciation and awareness of the world around them.
Accredited by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE), Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), Rainbow International School is an affiliated member of the East Asia Regional Council for Overseas Schools (EARCOS), the Korea Council of Overseas Schools (KORCOS) and Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) Measures of Academic Progress (MAP). Rainbow International School is currently a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and pursuing authorization as an IB World School.
RIS teaches students a broad and balanced curriculum, which has three basic elements: content, skills, and assessment. RIS teaches subjects: English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Art, Korean, Design and Technology.
All students at RIS take the NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test three times a year in September, February, and May.
