Rainbow International School is the non-profit private day-school. Located in Seoul, South Korea, Rainbow International School opened its doors to students in September, 2007. RIS is a nondenominational school which proudly represents students from more than 20 different countries. Its multicultural atmosphere is both warm and friendly.

WASC Accredited RIS is an affiliated member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the East Asia Regional Council for Overseas Schools (EARCOS), and the Korea Council of Overseas Schools (KORCOS).
RIS curriculum design is built on the cognitive, social situational, and experiential-based theories of learning. The combination of these three theories enable the needs of the whole student to be met, both academically and emotionally, through authentic learning experiences.

For a student to be an effective global citizen, he/she must be able to logically interpret and utilize the intersection between people and community as a guide in decision making.
In addition to the basic academic program, students will participate in both local and extended field trips. Students will have opportunities to perform music and drama and to display artwork.

The school year consists of 180 teaching days and extends from the middle of August to the middle of June, with holidays in December/January, April and June/July. Maximum class sizes are targeted at 16 students. Hot lunches are available for the students – these are paid for separately by the parents.
